The British International Primary School

The British International Academy and Primary School (AIBPS in English) in Pointe Noire is an accredited international school, which meets the needs of expatriate and internationally mobile families, and more generally families wishing that their children benefit from an education excellence in the English language. By enrolling their children with us, expatriate families are assured that if they move to another country, their children will naturally be able to continue their studies in another British school.

The school is located at 26 rue de Tchicaya, U'Tam'Si, MPITA. We welcome children from the Pre-School level (small kindergarten section), up to the Year 3 level (CE1 level of the Congolese system / CE2 of the French system). For the 2021-2022 school year, we will welcome students from the Pre-School (CP) level to the Year 11 level.

Our teaching program, delivered by qualified teachers and native speakers of English-speaking countries, is based on the National Curriculum of England and the curriculum of the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). These two curricula complement each other into a modern and comprehensive school curriculum.

Our facilities include fully equipped classrooms, a computer room, an English book library and a cinema room.

For recess periods, students can enjoy play areas and a sandpit. A covered space for manual work is also accessible during breaks and dedicated time slots.

The school encourages the use of new technologies throughout learning. Computers and tablets connected to a wireless network allow children to research and learn using information and communication technologies.

The school facilities are safe, clean, spacious and pleasant. The entrance/exit of the school is constantly monitored by a guard, guaranteeing reinforced security for the children.

The objective of the AIBPS is to stimulate and inspire our students, so that they can express their full potential, and achieve both academically and personally, within a stimulating and personalized environment. . AIBPS is a place of multicultural learning and open to the world, encouraging mutual respect.

All students can develop at their own pace, guided by an experienced teaching team. It accompanies each child in his personal work, while closely involving parents in learning. This active education in English allows the child to develop at their own pace, in a motivating and rewarding environment.
