Connie's Academy is dedicated to teaching English , providing intensive General English courses, TOEIC preparation and TOEFL preparation courses for people in Congo, DRC, Angola, Gabon and neighboring countries. Connie's Academy also provides intensive French, Italian and Portuguese language courses to expatriate international employees, whose companies want to help get used to the country's language and culture.
Connie's Academy offers students aged 2 to 70 the highest possible level of English learning. This is called “active learning”. Class sizes are small enough to ensure effective learning. As our teachers are native English speakers, students benefit from a more real, dynamic, and communicative approach to learning the English language. Using guided conversations, students are engaged in conversational exchanges and carefully structured grammatical contexts, and then encouraged to break away from the written text and use these contexts to create their own conversations. In the modern and sophisticated language laboratory of the Academy the students have the possibility to dialogue with the teacher using specific options to test their listening comprehension. In addition, the lab offers more interpersonal communication (audio and video), so that students can still have the opportunity to use the language in order to develop their basic skills more quickly and in an accurate way. By following our Intensive English Courses students improve their ability to speak, listen, write and read in English. Our language lab is run by teachers who do everything possible to meet the personal needs of each student.
Connie's Academy is located in Pointe-Noire in Congo-Brazzaville and occupies a beautiful building, designed and fitted out to be a pleasant, calm and welcoming place. Besides the language lab, this English language school has a cinema room, a play center for children, 3 classrooms, balconies and a conversation lounge.
The Academy's Director of Education, Connie Reza, was born in Australia and educated at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. Connie has over 20 years of teaching experience, having taught adults and children from 3 years old. She holds several national teaching excellence awards, has helped students find jobs through language proficiency, and has received community awards for her dedication to teaching and achievement. The last point, quite important: Connie speaks English, German and French. This language school is his passion.
